Explain Make operations as execution activity and credits as its usage and billing currency. They are related measures, not interchangeable labels, so a budget approval should show both separately.
Give finance a short glossary
Make distinguishes operations, which count activities performed by scenarios, from credits. Its documentation explains that module runs and processed bundles inform operation counts, with trigger modules an exception in the documented example behaviour.
For a finance-facing note, use these editorial definitions alongside the documentation:
- Activity period: the exact dates covered by the review.
- Operation count: the execution measure being examined.
- Credit consumption: the usage currency recorded for that period.
- Rupee budget: the organisation’s separately approved spending allowance.
- Variance: the difference between a stated baseline and observed evidence.
Do not describe a credit as a rupee or assume one scenario run equals one operation. A business request can pass through multiple processing steps.
Reconcile measures without merging them
Prepare a worksheet with period, scenario identifier, observed operation count, observed credits, evidence reference, baseline assumption and explanation of any mismatch. Add a separate column for approved monetary spend supported by purchasing or billing records.
Keep units in every heading and calculation. If a billing record and an activity report cover different dates, mark the comparison incomplete. If the rupee amount depends on a conversion assumption, record that assumption and its date rather than implying a fixed credit-to-rupee rate.
The approver should be able to distinguish greater workload from a changed commercial arrangement without reverse-engineering the spreadsheet.
Test a hypothetical bundle expansion
Imagine a fictional Chennai operations team changes its internal request format from one item per request to several items. Its worksheet records 100 requests in both periods, but processed item volume rises from 100 to 240.
Those inputs explain why unchanged request counts do not establish unchanged execution activity. They do not, by themselves, establish the resulting operations or credits. Enter observed values only after obtaining evidence and check trigger behaviour separately against the documentation.
Evaluate the explanation by asking whether it accounts for the changed processing volume without inventing a universal multiplier. Reject a budget note that simply multiplies requests by an assumed credit price.
Decide what finance can approve
Stop approval of an unexplained increase when the worksheet mixes requests, operations, credits and rupees. The next step is to reconcile units and dates, not immediately purchase more access.
If procurement remains necessary, review the AI tools catalog, checking access format and saved terms before buying. Marketplace account, code or token offers are not proof of official subscription equivalence.
