Review visual continuity across generated clips

Review clips both individually and at their joins. Track stable traits, intentional changes and unexplained mismatches without assuming automatic fixes.

Review generated clips individually and in sequence using a manual continuity sheet. Track which character, prop and environment details must remain stable, then distinguish intentional story changes from unexplained mismatches.

Establish a reference before judging clips

Choose an approved reference description or self-created reference image for each recurring element. Record only the traits that matter to the story: costume colour, handedness, prop shape, doorway position or lighting direction.

For an Indian production with several language edits, keep the same visual reference across versions unless a change is explicitly approved. A different voiceover duration can alter shot boundaries, so review each finished sequence rather than assuming one approved edit covers all variants.

Do not use a real person's likeness without consent or upload customer/private footage for exploratory checks.

Build a three-part continuity sheet

Use one record per clip and one per transition:

  • Character: identifier, clothing, accessories, posture, screen position and permitted changes.
  • Prop: identifier, colour, size relationship, orientation, condition and hand holding it.
  • Environment: layout, key background objects, light direction, time-of-day cues and entry or exit direction.

Add clip version, time range, reference identifier, observed mismatch and severity. Use three editorial severity levels: cosmetic distraction, story ambiguity and material contradiction. A slightly different background shade may be cosmetic; a sealed package becoming open before the opening scene is a story contradiction.

This sheet is a manual review method, not a claim about any platform's generation or editing features.

Hypothetical parcel handover

Suppose a fictional six-second sequence shows an invented courier in a plain green jacket carrying a blue parcel from left to right. In the next proposed clip, the parcel is red and the courier enters from the opposite side.

Record the colour change under prop continuity and the movement reversal under transition continuity. Evaluate whether viewers can still understand that this is the same parcel and continuous action. If not, reject the join even if each clip looks attractive alone.

An approved alternative might use a neutral detail shot between the clips, but review whether it genuinely resolves the story rather than merely hiding the mismatch. No successful correction is assumed in this hypothetical example.

Stop material contradictions at delivery

Pause delivery when identity, product condition or action order remains ambiguous. Replace the shot, simplify the sequence or seek explicit approval for a revised concept. Do not assume additional generation will solve the problem within the remaining budget.

If purchasing further access, check the AI tools catalog for access format and saved terms before buying. Marketplace account, code or token offers are not proof of official subscription equivalence or continuity performance.

Sources and scope

The continuity sheet, severity levels and fictional handover are practical editorial guidance, not hands-on tests or platform capability claims.
